Wade in the Water

This was Orange Beach, AL just four months ago when I visited for spring break. Gorgeous white sand, clean water (albeit a little chilly since it was only March) and beautiful sunsets. 

This is Orange Beach now. The water is tainted with oil from the BP spill. I'm so confused why we're still allowing BP to "manage" the situation when they are clearly failing. This is truly heartbreaking and something needs to be done now. Why hasn't the federal government stepped in already? Why are we still allowing our water, coast, and wildlife to be destroyed? 

spring has sprung!

April is currently dumping Niagra Falls over Ohio. I'm glad I got a few shots of the pretty flowering trees around my place before the rain maliciously beat the petals off of them.
